Project Title: Mewar Complex

The Mewar Complex near Udaipur is a series of memorial and tourism pavilions built to commemorate the life of the legendary king, Rana Pratap. Nature and built form unite to form a weave of experiences recalling the battles of the great warrior. Built in natural stone with the skill of the local craftsmen, the walls merge with the landscape creating an experience that oscillates between rough and smooth, inside and outside, humanmade and natural. It brings architecture into an ambiguous middle ground.
